CENTCOM Denies Crash of US Navy Helicopter in the Red Sea

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) denied yesterday the accuracy of Iranian media reports claiming that a U.S. Navy helicopter crashed in the Red Sea last night. In a statement, CENTCOM said, “Iranian state media are spreading false reports alleging that a U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter crashed in the Red Sea, following its announcement of an emergency last night.” It affirmed that “reports of a U.S. Navy helicopter crash in the Red Sea are incorrect.” CENTCOM also emphasized that “all U.S. aircraft and military personnel in the Middle East region are safe and in their assigned positions.”
