The Yemeni Embassy in Kuwait has affirmed that the “Yemen Dawn” operation, announced by the Presidential Leadership Council to extend state authority across the entire Yemeni territory, represents a decisive turning point.

In a statement received by Al-Akhbar, the embassy praised the “steadfast and noble fraternal positions of the sister State of Kuwait,” outlining the operation’s objectives and its rapid, swift achievements since its launch. The embassy stated:

“The comprehensive military operation ‘Yemen Dawn’ was launched in implementation of the decision by the Presidential Leadership Council, led by Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, with full support from the brothers in the Coalition for Legitimacy Support. This strategic operation marks a decisive turning point toward restoring state institutions and extending national sovereignty over the entire Yemeni territory, and ending the prolonged suffering of the Yemeni people caused by Houthi intransigence.

“First: The Political Stance and Timing

The decision to launch the military operation came after the state had exhausted all political, regional, and international diplomatic avenues for peace. The Houthi coup militias continued their reckless military escalation and constant threats to international shipping lanes and neighboring states. The embassy affirms that the option of military resolution has become imperative to protect the Yemeni people’s assets and safeguard Arab national security.

“Second: Strategic Objectives of the ‘Yemen Dawn’ Operation

1. Ending the coup and restoring state institutions: Extending the authority of the legitimate government over all Yemeni governorates, foremost among them the abducted capital, Sana’a.

2. Securing international waterways: Protecting the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the southern Red Sea from Houthi terrorist threats and ensuring the safety of global trade.

3. Destroying the militias’ military capabilities: Paralyzing offensive defense systems, drone aviation, missile launchers, and torpedo boat storage facilities.

“Third: The Field Situation and Military Achievements

During the first 24 hours of the operation’s launch, the Yemeni Armed Forces and coalition forces achieved rapid, simultaneous field accomplishments as follows:

* Western Coast Axis: Complete control over the Dhubab directorate and its military airport, securing Mayun (Perim) Island, Al-Amari Camp, and Kahbob Mountains, thereby ensuring full security of the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.

* Al-Mukha City and Port: A successful tactical flanking operation led to the complete clearance of Al-Mukha city and port, cutting off enemy supply lines.

* Sana’a Capital Front: The commencement of a comprehensive strategic offensive, supported by advanced military systems, directed toward the heart of the capital.

* Al-Jawf, Marib, and Hajjah Axes: Control over the Al-Nandar and Al-Haseef areas (Al-Jawf), and the Al-Faliha and Qurun al-Bur areas (southern Marib), along with devastating strikes against militias in Haraz.

“Fourth: Air Support and Militia Losses

Under intensive air cover and with the participation of 100 fighter jets from the Coalition for Legitimacy Support, 324 strategic targets and high-value military sites belonging to the militias were targeted. These airstrikes, combined with land and sea operations, resulted in:

* Neutralizing 1,747 Houthi elements, killed or wounded.

* Destroying and damaging 364 military vehicles and equipment.

* Capturing large numbers of militia elements besieged in Dhubab, while others fled by sea.

“Fifth: Appreciating the Kuwaiti and Gulf Role

The Yemeni Embassy seizes this opportunity to reiterate the profound appreciation and gratitude of the Republic of Yemen, its leadership, government, and people, for the steadfast and noble fraternal positions of the sister State of Kuwait, its Amir, government, and people, and its continuous support for the Yemeni people through various stages and circumstances. This support reflects the deep historical relations and shared destiny between the two sister states in facing challenges threatening regional security and stability.

“The embassy expresses full confidence that Kuwaiti media and press, known for their professionalism and Arab responsibility, will, as usual, serve as a truthful voice and support in highlighting these national victories, which serve the interests of Gulf and Arab national security as a whole.”
