Al-Badawi condemns Houthi terrorist attacks on Jazan and Najran airports in Saudi Arabia

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the two reckless attacks carried out by the terrorist Houthi militias, which targeted facilities at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that targeting airports and civilian infrastructure constitutes a serious escalation and a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, posing a direct threat to the safety and security of civilians and to air navigation.

He stressed that the Houthi militias’ continued targeting of civilian and vital facilities in the Kingdom reflects a hostile and unacceptable approach, as well as a clear disregard for international law and international humanitarian law. He called on the international community to take a firm stance against these attacks, hold the perpetrators accountable, and work to halt these terrorist practices that threaten regional security and stability, as well as the safety of air navigation and civilian infrastructure.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the GCC states’ united stand alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing full support for all measures and steps taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

He expressed his sincere condolences to those injured in these attacks, praying to Almighty God to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people from all harm and evil, and to perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon it.
