KUNA Director General discusses strengthening media cooperation with Indian Ambassador

Mohammed Al-Munaie, Acting Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), held talks with Prameeta Tripathi, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Kuwait, on media cooperation between the two sides and ways to develop it, in a manner that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

During his reception of Ambassador Tripathi at KUNA’s headquarters, Al-Munaie emphasized the important role played by media outlets in consolidating relations between countries and enhancing communication and understanding among peoples. He noted KUNA’s commitment to strengthening media cooperation with Indian institutions and news agencies, as well as exchanging expertise and experiences across various fields. He added that Kuwait-India relations are characterized by their depth and long-standing history, stressing the importance of the media’s role in highlighting the development these relations have witnessed in various sectors and in showcasing the various forms of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries and peoples.

For her part, the Indian Ambassador expressed her appreciation for KUNA’s role in disseminating news and enhancing media communication, commending the historical and robust ties that unite the State of Kuwait and the Republic of India. She underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between media institutions in both countries and exchanging content and expertise, which would contribute to highlighting the various dimensions of Kuwait-India relations and reflecting the depth of the bonds between the two countries and their friendly peoples.

Attending the meeting were Essam Al-Ghanim, Deputy Director General of the Editorial Sector at KUNA, Badr Al-Sharhan, Acting Editor-in-Chief, and Maima Al-Farsi, Director of the Director General’s Office.
