Tareq Araabi: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued Ministerial Decision No. (203) of 2026 regarding the approval of stamped brand seals on imported precious metal goods, including the approval of trademarks for 17 companies in accordance with the procedures and controls governing the stamping of imported precious metals and goods.

The decision is based on Ministerial Decision No. (165) of 2019 and its amendments concerning the reorganization and procedures for stamping imported precious metals and goods, which stipulated the approval of brand stamps on imported goods in line with the procedures adopted by the Ministry.

The decision covers 17 companies engaged in the trade of jewelry, gold, watches, and precious metal goods. The approval does not exempt these companies from other procedures and requirements stipulated under the decision regulating stamping and import operations.

The decision takes effect from October 1, 2026, and remains valid until September 30, 2027. It will be published in the Official Gazette, and officials will be responsible for implementing its provisions within their respective areas of competence.

The decision comes as part of efforts to regulate dealings with imported precious metal goods bearing approved trademarks, and to specify the seals and trademarks accepted under the regulatory framework in force at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
