Avenues conducts annual mock evacuation drill

In line with its ongoing commitment to enhancing safety and security standards and raising readiness levels for emergency response, The Avenues conducted its annual simulated evacuation drill yesterday morning in the Grand Plaza area, in collaboration and coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force, and medical emergency teams from the Ministry of Health.

The drill is part of the periodic plans and procedures implemented by The Avenues to ensure the effectiveness of approved evacuation plans, boost the readiness of security and safety teams, and strengthen coordination with relevant authorities, thereby contributing to ensuring swift and efficient emergency response.

The exercise involved executing evacuation procedures based on a scenario simulating an emergency, testing response mechanisms and communication protocols, and verifying the readiness of evacuation routes, exits, and assembly points. This enhances the efficiency of staff teams and their ability to handle various situations in accordance with established procedures.

The Avenues prioritizes the safety of its visitors, employees, and staff, and is committed to applying the highest security and safety standards, alongside conducting regular drills that contribute to raising awareness and preparedness, and improving staff efficiency in dealing with different circumstances and emergencies.

The annual simulated evacuation drill reflects The Avenues’ continuous commitment to providing a safe environment for visitors and staff, and its ongoing efforts to develop its security and safety system in cooperation with relevant official authorities.
