Cairo – Nadeh Imam: The Ministry of Health and Population has announced the launch of a broad, free national campaign in October 2026 to vaccinate children against measles and rubella, as part of the state’s efforts to strengthen community immunity, curb the spread of infectious diseases, and safeguard the health and well-being of children residing in Egypt.
The Ministry clarified that the campaign targets children aged 9 months to 10 years, covering all children residing in Egypt, whether Egyptian or non-Egyptian, using the MR vaccine, which protects against measles and rubella.
The Ministry emphasized that the vaccination is safe and entirely free, urging parents to ensure their children are vaccinated during the campaign period and to take advantage of the services provided under the national campaign, thereby contributing to higher vaccination coverage and enhanced protection against measles and rubella.
The campaign is being conducted under the slogan “Together We Protect Our Children and Foster a Healthier Community,” reflecting the Ministry of Health and Population’s ongoing efforts to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases and improve overall health standards among children.
