Acting Director General of KUNA Discusses with Indian Ambassador Strengthening Media Cooperation

Mohammed Al-Munaee, Acting Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), held talks with Prameeta Tripathi, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Kuwait, on media cooperation between the two sides and ways to develop it, in order to support bilateral relations between the two countries.

During his reception of Ambassador Tripathi at KUNA’s headquarters, Al-Munaee stressed the important role played by media outlets in strengthening ties between countries and enhancing communication and understanding among peoples. He noted KUNA’s commitment to strengthening media cooperation with Indian institutions and news agencies, as well as exchanging expertise and experiences in various fields.

He added that Kuwait-India relations are characterized by their depth and long-standing history, emphasizing the media’s role in highlighting the development these relations have witnessed across various sectors and in showcasing the various dimensions of cooperation between the two friendly countries and peoples.

For her part, the Indian ambassador expressed her appreciation for KUNA’s role in disseminating news and enhancing media communication, commending the historical and robust ties between Kuwait and the Republic of India. She underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between media institutions in both countries and exchanging content and expertise, in order to highlight the various dimensions of Kuwait-India relations and reflect the depth of the bonds between the two friendly countries and peoples.

Attending the meeting were Essam Al-Ghanim, Deputy Director General of the Editorial Sector at KUNA, Badr Al-Sharhan, Acting Editor-in-Chief, and Maima Al-Farsi, Director of the Director General’s Office.
