Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Khaled Amer Al-Ajmi has submitted his resignation to Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Hawila.
The text of the resignation, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Anbaa, reads as follows:
Public responsibility is not a privilege attached to a position, but rather a trust that is borne, a confidence that is bestowed, and a duty whose measure of fulfillment is what one contributes to one’s country during the period of holding that responsibility. From this perspective, and after a career dedicated to serving Kuwait, I submit my resignation from the post of Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, due to special considerations and circumstances, and with the aim of ensuring that my resignation, just as my assumption of the post, is guided by the public interest and respect for the exigencies of the times. Before submitting this request, I feel compelled to express my profound pride and immense gratitude for the high confidence bestowed upon me by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah. I regarded this confidence as a national honor and a precious responsibility, and I deeply appreciate the trust this appointment reflected from the political leadership, as well as the opportunity it afforded me to fulfill my duty in serving Kuwait and its people.
Working at the Ministry of Social Affairs was a rich experience, encompassing various files, challenges, and responsibilities. Collaborating with my colleagues in the ministry’s various sectors provided an opportunity to gain insight into matters directly affecting citizens’ lives, and to work on developing procedures, improving services, and enhancing the ministry’s capacity to fulfill its responsibilities toward society.
I leave my position with the certainty that serving the country is not tied to a specific post, and that national responsibility does not end with the conclusion of an appointment; rather, it remains a set of enduring values upheld by officials wherever they are. Loyalty to the country, the leadership, and public service remains the most important hallmark of every stage in one’s career.
Therefore, I kindly request your Excellency to accept my resignation from the post of Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and to take the appropriate measures in this regard. I pray to Almighty God to protect Kuwait, to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security and stability, to preserve His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, and to guide the leadership in ways that serve the best interests of Kuwait and its people.
