Kuwait Municipality officials confirmed the continuation of their field inspection campaigns under the “Build, Don’t Destroy” initiative, which monitors violations of the safety regulations across the six governorates to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, systems, and permits.
Mohammed Al-Azmi, head of the Safety Department’s inspection rounds in the Ahmadi Governorate, stated in a press comment on the sidelines of the team’s inspection in the Fintas area that the municipality periodically monitors compliance with safety requirements at construction sites to encourage project owners and contractors to adhere to them.
Al-Azmi added that the municipality is keen on enforcing safety conditions to protect the lives of workers and residents in those areas. Therefore, it stresses the proper disposal of rubble in designated containers and insists on timely site cleanup.
He noted that the supervisory team issued four warnings today during its field campaign for leaving rubble in front of several homes, which obstructed traffic, as well as for failing to maintain the cleanliness of roads and public facilities.
Al-Azmi explained that the “Build, Don’t Destroy” campaign is part of Kuwait Municipality’s efforts to strengthen oversight, curb violations, and foster a culture of preserving the environment and public property.
He called on plot owners and homeowners under construction to follow the official accounts of Kuwait Municipality to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines that will be published regularly, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with systems and regulations.
