Fury to Have Trump Lead His Ring Entrance Before Upcoming Joshua Fight

Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has invited U.S. President Donald Trump to lead him into the ring ahead of his highly anticipated bout with compatriot Anthony Joshua.
Fury and Joshua are scheduled to face off in Cardiff on December 11, with Fury keen to have Trump join his procession to the ring at the 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium.
Fury previously met Trump at the UFC 250 event at the White House last June, wearing a hat that read “Donald Trump for Prime Minister” after the 80-year-old president lifted the travel ban imposed on him by the United States.
Fury said, “I will definitely make this offer to my old friend, and we’ll see if he’s free.”
He added, “It might be unlikely given his current situation, as he is the President of the United States.”
Meanwhile, Fury insists that his fight with Joshua is merely preparation for his true priority: a third bout against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, whom he has previously lost to twice.
He continued, “I have no intention of retiring after Joshua. I’m using this fight as a warm-up for Usyk.”
“This fight is just the beginning, and I guarantee you that the night I knock him out, he won’t know what time it is. After that, I want to face Usyk in New York.”
He concluded, “This will be my most active year since 2018. I’ve fought 12 rounds with the 1.97-meter-tall Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov and seven rounds with the 2.2-meter-tall Polish giant Mariusz Wach. Let’s not hesitate to tell the truth: I am currently at the peak of my performance. I feel great despite being 38 years old.”
