AbdulKarim Ahmad: The Kuwait Lawyers Association will launch the Second Kuwaiti Lawyers Conference on October 25 under the theme “Innovative Lawyers Global Summit.” The conference will feature broad international participation, including a select group of specialists and experts in legal and technical fields, to discuss the future of the legal profession and the rapid transformations underway in the legal sector, notably artificial intelligence, legal technologies, digital justice, and cybersecurity.
The Association’s President, Attorney Adnan Mahmoud Abul, announced that the significant success of the First Lawyers Conference, held last October in conjunction with Kuwaiti Lawyers Day, served as a catalyst for organizing the Second Kuwaiti Lawyers Conference under the theme “Innovative Lawyers Global Summit,” with participation from a distinguished group of Kuwaiti and international speakers.
Abul noted that the conference will include five diverse sessions addressing the rapid technological evolution affecting the legal profession and the judicial system, alongside discussions on comparative legislative perspectives in light of the government’s approval of the National Plan for Developing Legislation. He emphasized that the Kuwait Lawyers Association is one of the key partners in this plan, contributing its insights and observations.
He added that the conference will witness the launch of the “Lawyer Award for Legal Innovation – Lawyer Hackathon,” aimed at developing a strategy for the professional and judicial system for the period 2026–2035, leading the legal profession globally, launching the government accelerators program, innovating technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency, enabling projects in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and providing sustainable solutions that promote transparency and expedite procedures.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Al-Suwaiyan, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, confirmed that the Association is preparing to host the Second Kuwaiti Lawyers Conference, which will serve as an international legal gathering bringing together specialized legal and technical expertise.
Al-Suwaiyan stated that the conference aligns with the Association’s vision to develop the legal profession and keep pace with the rapid global transformations in the legal sector, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, legal technologies, digital justice, electronic arbitration, cybersecurity, and the development of legal research and drafting tools.
