These efforts resulted in the seizure of quantities of food unfit for human consumption and adulterated food, as well as the issuance of violation reports against non-compliant establishments.
Among the most notable outcomes of the campaigns, the Capital Governorate Inspection Department seized a cake and confectionery preparation facility that was using expired and unfit-for-consumption food materials, alongside the circulation of adulterated food. In addition, the Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Public Authority for Manpower, conducted an inspection campaign targeting food establishments in Farwaniya Governorate. The campaign resulted in the inspection of 10 food establishments and the issuance of 7 violation reports, as part of joint efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments and ensure their compliance with health requirements.
In another campaign in Farwaniya Governorate, supervisory teams issued 4 violation reports and destroyed 54 kilograms of meat unfit for circulation, while taking the necessary legal actions against the violators.
Meanwhile, the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, conducted an inspection campaign that led to the issuance of 28 violation reports, the destruction of 146.142 kilograms of adulterated and untraceable food, and the closure of one establishment’s kitchen. The violations included failure to comply with health and technical requirements, operating without licenses and approved health certificates, and the circulation of adulterated food.
Thus, the total amount destroyed during these campaigns exceeded 410 kilograms of food unfit for human consumption and adulterated food, while 39 violation reports were issued, underscoring the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition’s commitment to strengthening the food supervision system and protecting public health.
