'Interior Ministry': Our Environment is Our Responsibility... Preserving It Reflects on Our Health and Quality of Life

The Ministry of Interior has called on citizens and residents to preserve the environment, emphasizing the positive impact this has on society. In an awareness post on its social media accounts, the Ministry stated, “Our environment is our responsibility, and preserving it reflects positively on our health and quality of life.” It urged people to keep public places and beaches clean, dispose of waste in designated bins, and encouraged anglers to collect their fishing gear when leaving. The Ministry also stressed the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, avoiding the burning of waste, and refraining from smoking in enclosed public spaces, in order to safeguard everyone’s health and well-being. Addressing the public, the Ministry said, “Your daily behavior makes a difference. Join us in protecting the environment as part of the ‘Waqa’ya… and Safety’ campaign.”
