Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib held talks with an Italian security official on ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of managing correctional institutions and rehabilitating inmates. The Ministry of Interior said in a press statement that Major General Al-Wahib met with the official delegation accompanying Stefano Di Michele, the head of the Italian Prison Administration, along with several other officials, in the presence of Kuwait’s ambassador to Italy, Nasser Al-Qahtani. During a visit to Rebibbia Prison in Rome, the deputy minister reviewed operational mechanisms, organizational and security procedures, prominent modern systems and technologies employed, as well as programs and practices adopted for the rehabilitation and reform of inmates and for enhancing the efficiency of the institutional framework.
