All fees are now collected through the Ministry’s online website, alongside the implementation of the Smart Fingerprint application and the “Wasel” program as the Ministry’s internal mail system.
The Ministry added that it successfully distributed the comprehensive Employee Handbook to all staff members last year and measured the opinions of service beneficiaries. It also succeeded in publishing all procedures, transactions, and instructions for employees and auditors via social media platforms to raise public awareness and ensure justice in accordance with the principle of transparency. Regarding governance applications in the field of projects and plans, the Ministry indicated that it has completed the preparation of a strategic and operational plan aligned with the objectives of the state’s development plan, in addition to issuing monthly economic reports on the Ministry’s activities, which include statistics on service sectors, and an annual report detailing all the Ministry’s achievements.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry continues its firm steps toward implementing governance across all its departments, announcing an increase in the achievement rate in this area to 80% during the years 2026 and 2027. This will be achieved by enhancing institutional capacities and intensifying training programs aimed at developing employees’ skills in applying governance principles and establishing a clear regulatory framework that supports strengthening governance practices.
As previously announced, the achievement rate in implementing governance within the Ministry reached 61% in 2025, an 8% increase compared to 2024, when the achievement rate stood at 53%. This confirms the Ministry’s efforts to ensure the sustainability of governance practices by developing flexible and updatable institutional policies and procedures that keep pace with future changes and support continuous improvement.
