Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Child Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, announced on Thursday the re-administration of the screening test for candidates applying for supervisory positions in cooperative societies, in accordance with clear and transparent regulations that ensure equality and equal opportunity for all applicants.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Huwail said that the specialized investigation committee had submitted its report and recommendations after reviewing comments and complaints related to the procedures surrounding the test.
She clarified that the committee recommended re-administering the test due to technical issues that accompanied its initial conduct, foremost among them being a power outage. She noted that coordination had been established with the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) to conduct a new test for all applicants.
Al-Huwail added that the new test would be administered under clear and transparent regulations, ensuring that the questions are aligned with the published academic material and the nature of the positions being tested.
She stated that the test would be conducted with audio and video monitoring in place, thereby enhancing the integrity of the examination process and guaranteeing equal opportunity among candidates. Al-Huwail emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all parties, commending the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and GUST.
She further noted that coordination regarding the necessary arrangements and the test date is underway, with details to be announced at a later date.
