Ooredoo Kuwait has praised the high patronage of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, may God protect and guard him, for the opening ceremony of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park. The company emphasized that its partnership with the Diwan Amiri in this phase reflects its commitment to supporting national strategic projects that enhance the presence of green spaces and cultural, artistic, and sports destinations in the heart of the capital.
The partnership involves Ooredoo Kuwait’s presence in various facilities and areas of the park, alongside organizing events and activities throughout the one-year partnership period. The company expressed its aspirations that these activities will enrich visitors’ experiences and provide opportunities for youth, talents, and local projects to participate in a destination that brings together families and visitors of all ages and interests.
This strategic partnership stems from Ooredoo’s vision of its role as a leading company in the technology and telecommunications sector, combining the development of its digital services with active participation in initiatives that impact the lives of citizens, residents, and visitors.
Commenting on the partnership, Nof Al-Mashaan, Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo Kuwait, stated: “We at Ooredoo Kuwait are proud of our partnership with the Diwan Amiri in the third phase of the Martyr’s Park and our contribution to a national project of great significance to Kuwait. The park has become a space where everyone meets, and a destination that combines nature, culture, sports, and history in a single experience. We see participation in developing this experience as both a responsibility and an opportunity—a responsibility toward our community, and an opportunity to launch initiatives that leave a positive impact on the lives of citizens and residents.”
She added, “The importance of this partnership stems from our vision of the role national companies can play in supporting strategic government projects. A genuine partnership goes beyond appearing at a specific event or occasion; it is based on continuous collaboration that adds value to the place and its visitors. From this perspective, we look forward to working with the Diwan Amiri to activate Ooredoo’s presence in the park through ideas and programs that respect the nature of this national project and address the diverse interests of its audience.”
Al-Mashaan highlighted the importance of the park’s geographical location, saying, “The proximity between the new phase of the Martyr’s Park and Ooredoo’s headquarters holds special meaning for us. The park is located near our workplace and our daily presence in the heart of the capital, which makes our relationship with it closer and more connected. We want to be an active neighbor to this project, present within it, engaged with its visitors, and contributing to its activities. This proximity also gives us the opportunity to listen directly to people, understand what they enjoy, and learn what they look forward to seeing in upcoming events.”
Regarding upcoming events, Al-Mashaan said, “We believe that events give public spaces their renewed spirit. We look forward to contributing to interactive, cultural, sports, and community activities that utilize the park’s facilities and align with its identity. We also see an important opportunity to involve youth, creatives, and small Kuwaiti projects, giving them a platform to showcase their work and connect with the public. Our goal is for visitors to feel that there is always a new experience to discover, and that the events have an impact that extends beyond the day they are held.”
She added, “Our participation in sports areas and facilities designated for activities opens the door to encouraging more active lifestyles and making movement and sports a enjoyable part of the daily visit. Family and interactive events enhance communication within society and provide children and youth with opportunities to learn and participate. It is important to us that these experiences are close to people and easily accessible, and that they respect the nature of the park as a public space that brings everyone together.”
Al-Mashaan emphasized that sustainability represents a core pillar of the partnership between the company and the Diwan Amiri in the third phase, stating, “Green spaces contribute to improving the quality of life and encourage walking and physical activity. On the other hand, cultural and educational activities represent a social investment in human capital across all age groups. She noted that providing opportunities for small and medium-sized Kuwaiti youth projects and the presence of youth in the third phase of the Martyr’s Park constitute direct support for the national economy and local projects.”
Al-Mashaan also touched upon the role of technology in developing the visitor experience, saying, “As a leading company in the technology and telecommunications sector, we always strive to find ways to make technology a key factor linking activities and audience interaction through innovative methods of participation and discovery. What matters to us is that technology serves the visitor experience and aligns with the nature of the park, ensuring its presence is beneficial and seamless.”
She affirmed the importance of cooperation with government entities, stating, “Our partnership with the Diwan Amiri reflects Ooredoo Kuwait’s belief in the importance of integration between the private sector and state institutions. Major national projects achieve a broader impact when various entities collaborate to support them and develop the experience they offer to society. We are keen to be partners in initiatives that enhance Kuwait’s standing in tourism, culture, and sports.”
She added, “Throughout its history, Ooredoo Kuwait has been committed to building partnerships that address community needs and aspirations, whether through supporting youth initiatives, contributing to cultural and sports events, or collaborating on projects that expand the scope of technology utilization. We view our partnership in the Martyr’s Park as an extension of this approach, as it combines national work, sustainability, innovation, and direct communication with visitors in one location.”
Concluding her statement, she said, “We extend our gratitude to the Diwan Amiri for this partnership and for the efforts made in developing the Martyr’s Park and enriching its national and community role. At Ooredoo Kuwait, we look forward to being an active part of the new phase, supporting national initiatives, contributing to sustainability, providing a space for youth and talents to participate, and leveraging our expertise in technology and communications to serve the visitor experience. Our ambition is for this partnership to be present in the details of what visitors experience within the park, and to offer them throughout the year what befits this place, Kuwait, and its people.”
