Al-Jazeera: Postponement of Transit Flights via 'T5'

At the request of the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority to postpone the activation of the connecting passenger (transit) service through Kuwait International Airport, we regret to inform our passengers that we will not proceed with activating this service and are postponing the resumption of these flights through the Island Terminal (T5) until further notice.

We also apologize to our valued passengers whose travel plans have been affected by this decision. The company will fully refund the cost of their tickets or allow them to change their travel dates without any additional fees. Since March 2026, airlines operating through major airports in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the region have gradually resumed transit passenger services, culminating in the full resumption of these services today.

We believe that resuming these flights through Kuwait benefits passengers, supports the markets we serve, and strengthens Kuwait’s regional and international connectivity. It also contributes to expanding the services available at Kuwait International Airport, thereby reinforcing its status as a key air transport gateway.

We fully recognize that resuming these services requires coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation. We will continue to work closely with the Authority to support its efforts to complete preparations for resuming connecting and transit flight operations through the Island Terminal (T5). We reiterate our commitment to supporting Kuwait’s aviation sector, enhancing air connectivity, and expanding travel options for our passengers. We will announce the date for the resumption of connecting and transit flights as soon as it is determined.

We thank our passengers for their patience, understanding, and continued trust in Jazeera Airways.
