The Acting Director General of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing, Engineer Rashid Al-Anazi, confirmed on Wednesday that integration and the exchange of expertise with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries constitute two pillars in the development of the housing sector.
This statement was made by Engineer Al-Anazi in an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), on the sidelines of the participation of a Kuwaiti delegation in the Fourth Gulf Housing Week events held in Manama, led by the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing, Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Mashari.
Al-Anazi also emphasized the importance of strengthening Gulf integration and exchanging experiences and practices in the housing sector, as well as developing policies and regulatory frameworks to keep pace with economic, social, and technological changes.
He noted that Kuwait’s participation in the Gulf Housing Week underscores the country’s commitment to supporting the joint Gulf housing sector’s progress, enhancing cooperation and coordination among GCC member states, and gaining insight into the latest experiences and practices in housing care, while benefiting from successful experiences and expertise.
He praised the well-organized events by Bahrain’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, which included the 2026 Innovation Conference in the social housing sector, specialized sessions, and an exhibition showcasing housing experiences and projects in GCC countries.
He added that the events formed an important platform for exchanging views and ideas on the future of the housing sector and ways to develop the housing care system, in order to meet the needs of Gulf societies and keep pace with rapid changes.
He clarified that the dialogue session titled “Resilience and Integration: Innovative Frameworks in Shaping the Future of National Housing,” in which he participated, discussed several topics related to developing the housing system in GCC countries, strengthening Gulf integration, and developing supportive policies and regulatory and legislative frameworks for a more efficient and sustainable housing sector.
He noted that the session also addressed innovative partnership and financing models, and the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in supporting planning and decision-making, as well as the development of housing projects and policies.
He pointed out that the Public Authority for Housing also participated in its dedicated pavilion within the accompanying exhibition, where it showcased its key projects and experiences in housing care, along with the solutions and programs it provides to meet housing needs.
