With the start of the new academic year 2026/2027, Salwa Zakat, affiliated with Al-Najat Charity Society, announced the launch of the “Ihsas” project, aimed at supporting the education of orphaned and impoverished students, as well as children from low-income families, within Kuwait. This initiative stems from its conviction that education is a fundamental right and that helping students continue their studies represents a genuine investment in both individuals and society.
Mr. Thamer Marzouq Al-Sahib, Director of Salwa Zakat, stated that they strive, at the beginning of each academic year, to stand by students whose difficult financial circumstances prevent them from paying school fees. He emphasized that the “Ihsas” project is an extension of Salwa Zakat’s efforts to alleviate burdens on needy families and restore joy to their children as they return to their classrooms.
Al-Sahib clarified that the project covers students across all educational stages within Kuwait, calling on philanthropists and benefactors to take the initiative in supporting their education. Contributions can be made by sponsoring a student for a full academic year, starting from 380 Kuwaiti Dinars per student, or by donating whatever one’s heart desires. The door for contributions remains open to everyone, even for a single dinar.
