Kuwait and Turkey Discuss Developing Cooperation and Coordination in Security and Criminal Fields, and Exchange of Expertise and Experiences

As part of his visit to the friendly Republic of Turkey, Assistant Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib and his accompanying delegation met with Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice Sadat Ay Yildiz, in the presence of Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, Marzouq Al-Shaboub, to strengthen cooperation and joint security coordination between the two friendly countries.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior said that Major General Al-Wahib conveyed, at the outset of the meeting, greetings and appreciation from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif, to the Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice, emphasizing Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif’s commitment to enhancing cooperation frameworks and developing joint work areas between the two sides, reflecting the deep and distinguished relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Turkey.

The statement added that the meeting discussed several issues of mutual interest and ways to develop cooperation and coordination in the security and criminal fields, as well as the exchange of expertise, experiences, and best practices, contributing to the development of operational mechanisms and elevating institutional performance levels.

For his part, Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice Sadat Ay Yildiz welcomed the visit by the Assistant Minister of Interior and his delegation, stressing the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides, in the interest of shared objectives and strengthening the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.
