Kuwaiti Shooters Win Gold and Bronze at the Asian Games

Kuwait’s champions Khaled Al-Mutairi, Talal Al-Tariki, and Abdulrahman Al-Faihan won the gold medal in the men’s trap event at the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), currently being held in Japan. The women’s team also secured a bronze medal in the women’s team trap competition, with Hajar Abdulmalik, Sara Al-Hawal, and Shahd Al-Hawal. This brings Kuwait’s total medal tally at the Games to seven: golds from Abdullah Shaaban in karate and in the team kata event; a silver in the team skeet shooting event; and two bronzes from Sayed Mohammed Al-Musawi in men’s individual kata and from the team in men’s doubles teqball. In the men’s and women’s individual trap qualification rounds, Talal Al-Rashidi, Khaled Al-Mutairi, and Hajar Abdulmalik advanced to the final.
