CENTCOM: Iran's Claims of Controlling the Strait of Hormuz Are False; We Destroyed Its Freedom, Over 1 Billion Barrels of Oil Passed Through

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that Iran’s claim of “complete control” over the Strait of Hormuz is false. In a statement, CENTCOM refuted remarks by an Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander who asserted that Iran exercises full control over the strait through its “naval forces,” stating, “This claim is incorrect.” The command added, “Iran does not possess a naval force, as U.S. forces have sunk it. Moreover, Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz,” citing as evidence that “thousands of ships pass through it safely, along with the transport of more than a billion barrels of oil in recent months alone.”
