Sabah Al-Ahmad: A Wise Strategic Vision

On this day six years ago (September 29, 2020), Kuwait bid farewell to its late Amir, the “Amir of Humanity” and its leader, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at the age of 91. It was a sorrowful day during which the country lowered its flags, and its lands were draped in black out of grief and sorrow for an exceptional and unique leader who, during his years in power, steered the nation to safety and the shores of stability during a difficult period marked by complex regional and international conditions. The Arab and Islamic worlds, as well as countries around the globe that maintained diplomatic ties and bonds of brotherhood and friendship with His Highness, may Allah have mercy on him, shared Kuwait’s mourning. His benevolent legacy remains evident, resonating on every occasion or in every tribute to Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, thanks to the indelible marks left by his actions and humanitarian initiatives in supporting the needy and aiding disaster victims across the globe, driven by a spirit of generosity, giving, and assistance.
