Finance Minister: We Look Forward to Increasing Qatari Investments in Egypt

Cairo – Nihad Imam: Finance Minister Ahmed Kojok expressed his aspiration to increase Qatari investments in Egypt, which would contribute to driving economic growth, creating more job opportunities, and strengthening investment ties between the two countries. Speaking during his meeting with his Qatari counterpart Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari on the sidelines of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank meetings in Doha, the minister said that expanding Egyptian-Qatari partnerships would enhance the role of the private sector in economic activity. He noted that they aim to boost mutual investment and trade cooperation between Egypt and Qatar in the energy and tourism sectors. He emphasized the importance of encouraging joint ventures between Egyptian and Qatari companies, which would contribute to achieving more sustainable economic growth for the benefit of both countries, and highlighted the significance of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Qatari finance ministries to exchange expertise and strengthen capacities in fiscal and tax policy areas.
