Cairo – Nadeh Imam: The Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund announced the availability of downloading the tender specifications for the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 9” concerning rental units, via the Egypt Digital Platform, for all citizens, including persons with disabilities.
The Fund clarified that the tender specifications will remain available until Wednesday, October 28, allowing interested citizens to review the terms and details and download the specifications electronically through the Egypt Digital Platform.
In a related development, the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund revealed the value of government subsidies provided to citizens wishing to apply for rental housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians 9” presidential initiative.
The Ministry of Housing has opened applications for 25,000 housing units in governorates and new cities, through the New Urban Communities Authority under the “Rent-to-Own” system, and through the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund under the “Housing for All Egyptians 9” initiative, which includes rental units for low-income citizens. Applications are accepted until Wednesday, October 28.
The New Urban Communities Authority’s offering includes 10,000 housing units under the “Rent-to-Own” system, comprising approximately 5,000 completed units ready for delivery, alongside another 5,000 units scheduled for construction within three years. These units, with varying sizes, are distributed across 26 new cities throughout the country.
The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities also announced a significant turnout on the first day of applications for reserving 10,000 housing units under the “Rent-to-Own” system through the New Urban Communities Authority. The ministry stated that approximately 71,760 citizens registered their data on the “Maskan” website using their digital IDs, while preliminary reservations reached about 2,122. Furthermore, payments were completed for approximately 564 reservations on the first day.
Housing units offered through the Social Housing Fund include units in new cities, units in governorates, and units within the “Hayat Karima” (Decent Life) initiative, with sizes and rental values tailored to the income levels of target groups. Applications must be submitted via the Egypt Digital Platform.
Citizens wishing to apply and review the tender specifications must access the Egypt Digital Platform, create personal accounts, and complete the procedures for downloading the specifications, registering data, and uploading documents to the website.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of 365 Egyptian pounds through the payment methods available on the Egypt Digital Platform, in addition to a security deposit of 10,000 Egyptian pounds per unit requested for rent. This deposit must be paid at computerized post offices in cities and governorates where the units are located. The deposit will be refunded upon the expiration of the rental period or in case of application rejection, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the tender specifications.
