Kuwait Finance House (KFH), in strategic partnership with CODED Academy, concluded the sixth edition of the “Kuwait Codes” initiative at a closing ceremony that showcased students’ innovative projects and honored outstanding participants. The event was attended by officials, partners, parents, and stakeholders interested in the technology and education sectors.

During his speech at the awards ceremony, Fahad Al-Saad, First Director of Public Relations and Events at KFH, stated that the “Kuwait Codes” initiative represents one of the pioneering programs reflecting KFH’s commitment to supporting education, empowering youth, and investing in their capabilities by equipping them with technical and knowledge-based skills. These skills enable them to keep pace with future demands and contribute to advancing the digital transformation journey in the State of Kuwait.

Al-Saad added that the strategic partnership between KFH and CODED Academy, ongoing since 2018, serves as a successful model of collaboration aimed at empowering youth and investing in their technical capabilities. Through the “Kuwait Codes” initiative, this partnership has enabled more than 10,000 students, enhanced their digital and technical skills, and prepared a generation capable of meeting future challenges with confidence and efficiency. The initiative has also contributed to raising awareness about cybersecurity and strengthening digital culture across various age groups, thereby supporting efforts to build a more aware and prepared digital community ready for rapid technological change.

Al-Saad emphasized that investing in human capital is one of the key pillars of sustainable development, noting that KFH is keen to support initiatives that help prepare a generation capable of leading the digital future and the knowledge economy, in line with Kuwait’s vision for digital transformation and building a society based on innovation and technology.

He pointed out that the projects and ideas presented by students at the closing ceremony exemplify the creativity and promising potential of Kuwaiti youth, confirming the initiative’s success in developing analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among participants.

Al-Saad noted that “Kuwait Codes” has evolved from merely a programming training program into a national platform that helps discover young talents and empowers them to leverage technology to innovate solutions and ideas that serve society and meet future needs.

He extended his gratitude and appreciation to CODED Academy, its trainers, and all those involved in the initiative, while praising the important role of parents in supporting and motivating their children to acquire technical skills. He congratulated all participants on their outstanding achievements throughout the program.

In the context of supporting innovation and sustainability, Al-Saad explained that KFH launched the “Digital Sustainability Award” for the best technical project aligned with sustainability concepts, aiming to encourage students to develop innovative digital solutions that serve society and enhance the digital transformation journey. The award was won by student Noura Al-Khuzai for her project “Be Aware,” an innovative application that encourages community members to contribute to keeping Kuwait clean by reporting or photographing waste locations. The app utilizes artificial intelligence to identify waste types in images and features a points-based reward system that allows users to exchange points for rewards, thereby promoting a culture of social responsibility and environmental sustainability through innovative technological solutions.

He stressed that supporting education and empowering youth are fundamental pillars for achieving sustainability, reflecting KFH’s belief that investing in people is the most important and impactful investment, and embodying its pioneering role in corporate social responsibility and its ongoing commitment to contributing to building a knowledge-based economy driven by creativity and innovation.

Al-Saad clarified that the bank will continue to invest in high-impact initiatives with long-term sustainable effects, particularly in the fields of education, technology, and innovation, driven by its social responsibility and its developmental role as an active partner in supporting the community.

For his part, Hashem Bahbahani, Co-Partner at CODED Academy, stated that the partnership between KFH and CODED Academy began with the launch of the initiative and has had a significant impact on developing students’ capabilities and raising the level of their technical and creative outputs year after year. He expressed appreciation for the continuous support for the “Kuwait Codes” initiative and many other initiatives by CODED Academy, and looked forward to the continuation of this fruitful partnership in the coming years to empower more Kuwaiti youth and prepare them for future requirements.
