The municipality confirmed yesterday its continued enforcement of its supervisory role in removing encroachments on state-owned land in the Farwaniya Governorate, as part of its campaign “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments.”
Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the central team at the Municipality Director General’s Office, stated in a press comment during an inspection tour in the Sabah Al-Nasser area that the municipality’s message is clear: the campaign will continue to remove all old and new encroachments.
Al-Jalawi added that field teams conduct periodic campaigns to monitor any violations on state properties across all governorates, aiming to curb unsightly scenes and the accumulation of waste in residential areas.
He noted that the municipality’s primary objective is to preserve public safety for residents of these areas, emphasizing that field teams operate according to carefully planned strategies designed for implementation across all governorates.
He reported that supervisory teams identified and removed yesterday in the Sabah Al-Nasser residential area an unlicensed structure built on main streets in one of the squares, without adhering to the setback requirements specified by the municipality.
He clarified that the removed structure encroached by up to 25 meters beyond the property boundaries, representing one of the typical cases identified by our teams.
Al-Jalawi praised the significant role played by government entities participating since the launch of the campaign, namely the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs.
He said the municipality encourages citizens and residents to follow its official social media accounts to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines published regularly, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
