Acting Director General of KUNA Discusses Enhancing Media Cooperation with Azerbaijani Ambassador

Mohammed Al-Munaee, the Acting Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), held talks on Monday with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Emil Karimov, to explore ways to enhance media cooperation between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, Al-Munaee emphasized the importance of strengthening media ties between KUNA and its Azerbaijani counterpart, noting that such efforts would contribute to bolstering the bonds of cooperation and communication between the two nations. He highlighted the significance of the media cooperation agreement signed between the two sides in 2009 as a framework for enhancing the exchange of news, information, and expertise in the media sector, expressing his hope to continue developing cooperation in line with the developments witnessed by the media and news agency sector.

For his part, Ambassador Karimov expressed his appreciation for KUNA, praising its media role and its commitment to covering events and activities in the Republic of Azerbaijan with professionalism and expertise. He commended the distinguished relations between his country and Kuwait, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between media institutions in both countries to reflect the depth of bilateral ties.

Also present at the meeting were Essam Al-Ghanim, Deputy Director General of the Editorial Sector at KUNA; Badr Al-Sharhan, Acting Editor-in-Chief; Essam Al-Rouaih, Director of Marketing and Public Relations; and Maima Al-Farsi, Director of the Director General’s Office.
