Kuwait Municipality confirmed today, Monday, that it is continuing to activate its supervisory roles in removing encroachments on state-owned land in the Farwaniya Governorate, as part of the municipality’s campaign “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments.”
Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the central team at the Municipality Director General’s Office, clarified in a media statement, on the sidelines of an inspection tour in the Sabah Al-Nasser area, that the municipality’s message is clear: the campaign to remove all old and new encroachments will continue.
Al-Jalawi added that field teams conduct periodic monitoring campaigns for any violations involving state property across all governorates, aiming to curb unsightly views and the accumulation of waste in residential areas.
He noted that the municipality’s primary objective is to preserve public safety for residents of these areas, emphasizing that field teams operate according to carefully planned strategies designed for implementation across all governorates.
He stated that supervisory teams identified and removed today, in the Sabah Al-Nasser residential area, a structure built on main streets in one of the squares without a permit and without adhering to the setbacks designated by the municipality.
He explained that the removed structure encroached by up to 25 meters beyond the property boundaries, representing one of the models being monitored by our teams.
Al-Jalawi praised the significant role played by government entities participating since the launch of the campaign, including the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs.
He said the municipality encourages citizens and residents to follow its official social media accounts to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines published regularly, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
