Authority for Persons with Disabilities Discusses Affairs of Sponsored Students with Ministry of Higher Education

The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities held discussions with the Ministry of Higher Education on several issues concerning students sponsored by the Authority, as part of its efforts to monitor their academic status and provide the necessary support to ensure the success of their educational journey.

The meeting brought together a delegation from the Authority and Dr. Faisal Al-Adwani, Assistant Undersecretary for Scholarships, Equivalencies, and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education. During the meeting, key files related to sponsored students were reviewed, and ways to overcome potential obstacles were discussed, alongside exploring mechanisms to streamline procedures and follow up on their academic affairs.

Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between the Authority and the Ministry of Higher Education, ensuring swift resolution of matters concerning sponsored students and providing the support and assistance needed to help them complete their studies and achieve their academic goals.

This meeting aligns with the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities’ commitment to developing educational services for persons with disabilities and creating a supportive environment that enables them to benefit from scholarship opportunities and continue their education efficiently and securely.

Representing the Authority at the meeting were Saad Al-Darraj, Director of the Educational Services Department; Dr. Shaima Al-Qattan, Supervisor of the Educational Services Department; and Latifa Al-Kandari, Head of the Educational, Rehabilitation, and Scholarships Services Section.
