Nada Abu Nasr: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, seized a transport vehicle involved in moving and distributing meat of unknown origin that was adulterated and did not meet health and technical standards and requirements in the Capital Governorate. The operation resulted in the destruction of 249 kg of the seized meat and food items, and appropriate legal measures were taken against the violator.

In addition, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Inspection Department of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, conducted a joint security and monitoring campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior to ensure the safety of food products and compliance with health requirements. The campaign included inspections of 17 food establishments, leading to the issuance of several violation reports, as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight and ensure that food establishments adhere to health standards, in order to safeguard the health and safety of consumers.

On another note, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition called on parents to follow proper hygiene practices when preparing and storing school meals, to ensure food safety and maintain quality until consumption time. The Authority emphasized the importance of using insulated bags and appropriate cooling containers to store perishable foods, as well as placing hot foods in insulated containers to maintain their temperature, thereby reducing the risks of food spoilage or contamination. It clarified that adhering to proper storage methods helps provide safe and healthy meals for students during the school day, enhances nutritional prevention, and protects the health and safety of children.
