The official Xinhua News Agency reported that “Ping Ping” and “Fu Shuang” departed Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport aboard a chartered plane in the early hours of yesterday. After a 16-hour journey, the plane landed in Atlanta, Georgia, Xinhua said.
China’s official Global Times newspaper stated that steamed corn cakes, bamboo, and carrots were prepared to ensure the panda pair received adequate food during the flight.
