In Video: Traffic Department arrests 4 suspects for reckless driving and refers them to the Central Bureau, impounds 5 vehicles

The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Security Control Department, managed to apprehend four suspects who engaged in reckless and careless behavior in the Al-Wafra agricultural area, endangering the safety of road users. This followed reports of a gathering intended for such reckless activities in the area.

The Ministry clarified in a press statement that, following search, investigation, and surveillance operations, it was determined that the suspects had hidden the vehicles used in these activities in several farms. In cooperation with the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, five vehicles were seized and the suspects were apprehended.

The statement added that the necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects, who were referred to the Central Prison. The five vehicles were impounded after completing the legal procedures, due to violations of reckless and careless driving that endangered the safety of road users, in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Directorate of Traffic emphasized that anyone who endangers lives and property will face prescribed legal measures without leniency, and that surveillance and monitoring activities continue to safeguard the safety of road users.
