"Blue Hand" Loses to Japan

Our national handball team lost to their opponents, the Japanese national team, by a score of 32-37 in the quarter-finals of the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), held in Japan. The home team, Japan, managed to build a goal advantage in the first half, which ended with a score of 23-12. Despite an improvement in the performance of the “Blue Hands” in the second half, the goal difference proved decisive for Japan, which secured the victory. With this result, our national team finishes third in Group B with four points from two wins and two losses before reaching the quarter-finals. They had previously defeated Iran (26-24), lost to South Korea (23-26), beat Kazakhstan (43-19), and then lost to Bahrain (25-28).
