“We Excel with Disability” Best Show at “Our Children”

The amateur theatrical troupe “We Create with Disability” from the Sultanate of Oman achieved an international milestone by winning the Mohamed Sobhy Global Award for the Best Integrated Theatrical Performance for its play “Secrets,” at the closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the International Forum for the Arts of People with Disabilities “Our Children,” held at the Cairo Opera House in Cairo. The victory came amid participation by troupes and artists from 55 countries. The performance addressed issues concerning people with disabilities, particularly the right of women with disabilities to form families and achieve full integration into society, underscoring the capacity of people with disabilities to create and excel.
