"Talabat" collaborates with "CODED" Academy to train Abdullah Al-Salem University students on AI-driven website development

Continuing its commitment to supporting the development of technical education in Kuwait, Talabat, the leading on-demand app in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), hosted the latest session of its monthly Next Tech Gen (NTG) program, in collaboration with CODED Academy. The event featured a specialized two-day workshop aimed at students from Abdullah Al-Salem University.

As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, particularly in education, Talabat continues to organize educational events under the Next Tech Gen program. Held monthly, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic outputs and the evolving demands of the labor market. The program offers students the opportunity to learn directly from a select group of technology experts at Talabat through practical sessions covering several critical technical fields, including artificial intelligence, product development, data analytics, and digital platforms.

For this session, Talabat partnered with CODED Academy, the region’s first specialized coding academy, to deliver a hands-on workshop aligned with future industry requirements. Over two intensive days, participants learned how to design, launch, and transform complete websites into scalable digital projects that meet real market needs, equipping them with the skills necessary to turn their ideas into promising digital ventures. The workshop saw significant attendance, reflecting the growing interest of Kuwaiti youth in technology, with more than 100 participants attending over the two days.

For his part, Hashim Bahbahani, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at CODED Academy, stated: “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Talabat through the Next Tech Gen program, which provides students with valuable opportunities to acquire practical technical skills. This workshop allowed participants to explore website development mechanisms using artificial intelligence tools through practical applications, boosting their confidence in their ability to transform their ideas into complete websites. It also prepared them to keep pace with the rapid demands of the digital economy.”

Among the 90 project ideas presented during the workshop, several innovative websites stood out, including the creation of a personalized prediction platform for a group of friends in Al-Dawaniyah to compete during the knockout stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In this platform, each participant selects the winner of every match from the quarter-finals to the final, earning points based on the accuracy of their predictions. A live leaderboard tracks the standings of competitors throughout the tournament, crowning the most accurate predictor at the final whistle on July 19.

Consistent with Talabat’s ongoing efforts to empower ambitious Kuwaiti talent and equip them with future-ready practical skills, the workshop provided participants with the opportunity to explore the latest AI-powered web development tools and technologies. Training included effective prompt engineering and the use of advanced platforms like Replit to design, develop, and launch websites comprehensively.

Participants also gained practical experience in integrating external digital services, understanding modern web application architectures, and developing the business skills necessary to transform digital solutions into scalable and sustainable projects through effective business models. This enabled them to leverage their technical knowledge to launch market-ready digital projects with promising commercial potential.
