First Deputy Prime Minister Inquires About the Health Condition of Two Individuals Injured in a Dog Attack

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, checked on the health condition of individuals who were attacked by dogs. He visited an employee of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources at Al-Farwaniya Hospital, after the employee was attacked by several stray dogs while carrying out his duties at the Authority’s premises, resulting in various injuries. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef assured himself of the employee’s health status and listened to a briefing on the developments in his medical condition, wishing him a speedy recovery and full health and wellness.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef also checked on the health condition of a Kuwaiti national who was attacked by a dog while entering her residence, sustaining various injuries. She was transported to Al-Amiri Hospital to receive treatment.

Immediately, the relevant security authorities moved to the scene of the incident, where it was determined that the dog was owned by an individual. A case was registered for “negligence in guarding an animal and causing injury by mistake,” and the necessary legal measures are being taken.

The Ministry of Interior called on everyone to exercise caution and vigilance, and to contact the emergency number 112 to report any situations that pose a threat to public safety or gatherings of stray dogs, providing precise location details, so that the competent authorities can take the necessary measures to help protect lives and enhance public safety.
