Baitak Capital, the investment arm of Kuwait Finance House (KFH), won six awards from the global Islamic Finance News (IFN) group through its renowned publication, Islamic Finance News. The awards recognize several sukuk transactions arranged and successfully executed by the company, both regionally and globally, during 2025, involving investors from banks and financial and investment institutions on behalf of companies and governments, with a total value of approximately $6 billion. This recognition honors Baitak Capital’s efforts, its leading global role, and its outstanding performance in the sukuk sector, establishing it as the first-choice and preferred destination for investors in this important, rapidly growing, and increasingly significant field, recognized as one of the best financing products in global financial markets.

The awards were accepted on behalf of Baitak Capital by Mohammed Al-Hajjar, Head of Investment Banking Services at Baitak Capital, and Khaled Al-Shami, Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at the company, during a formal ceremony held in Dubai, attended by a select group of leaders from the financial and investment sectors.

The IFN Awards are a series of prestigious accolades organized by Islamic Finance News to honor leading financial institutions and banks in the global Islamic finance sector. The awards recognize the best Islamic banks, high-performing investment funds, asset managers, and prominent Sharia-compliant structured transactions. Categories include transaction awards, survey awards, and investor awards.

This accolade underscores Baitak Capital’s advanced standing and its leading role in providing comprehensive and innovative investment solutions, which have made the company the most capable provider of high-value, high-quality investment opportunities tailored to the specificities of the markets it operates in. It further highlights the company’s continued success, particularly in arranging and issuing sukuk, which have become an internationally recognized product in global markets.

The awards relate to the six most prominent sukuk transactions arranged by the company for sukuk issuances at both the regional and global levels on behalf of governments, companies, and banks. They are as follows:

* Oman 2025 Transaction of the Year Award: Sultanate of Oman Sukuk valued at $1 billion.

* 2025 Permanent Sukuk Transaction Award: Vakif Katilim Bankasi Sukuk valued at $500 million.

* Qatar 2025 Transaction of the Year Award: State of Qatar Sukuk valued at $3 billion.

* Kuwait 2025 Transaction of the Year Award: International Bank of Kuwait Tier II Sukuk valued at $300 million.

* 2025 Murabaha Transaction Award: Kuwait Finance House Additional Tier 1 Sukuk valued at $850 million.

* 2025 Regulatory Transaction Award: International Bank of Kuwait Tier II Sukuk valued at $300 million.

The company successfully participated as lead arranger and organizer in sukuk issuances exceeding a total value of $29 billion in 2025. It also maintained its position among the top ten global sukuk arrangers, reflecting its leadership and expertise in international markets, and confirming Kuwait Finance House’s distinction in managing and structuring sukuk issuances.

During 2025, Bitex Capital arranged issuances on the local and regional levels for several banks, including Bank Boursa, International Bank of Kuwait, and two issuances for Kuwait Finance House. It also managed numerous regional issuances, such as those for Ajman Bank, Al Mashreq Bank, Qatar Islamic Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Turkish Vakıf Katılım Bank, and collaborated with the Islamic Development Bank Group on two issuances for the institution. Additionally, Bitex Capital served as joint lead manager and underwriting agent for numerous companies, including a guaranteed issuance by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Saudi Real Estate Refinancing Company. Sukuk were also issued for Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Company – Abu Dhabi, and the first issuance by companies in the Republic of Turkey for Turkish Telekom. In the oil sector, Bitex Capital contributed to arranging issuances for several companies, most notably Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO).
