Prince's Representative Receives UN High Commissioner for Refugees

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, received the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the close cooperation and humanitarian partnership between the State of Kuwait and the UNHCR were reviewed, and ways to enhance the humanitarian response and alleviate the suffering of refugees and displaced persons around the world were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Mishal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Sadiq Ma'rifi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; Ambassador Tariq Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince; and Ambassador Abdullah Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Minister's Office Affairs.
