Handball team faces Japan in Asian Games quarterfinals today

The national handball team lost to Bahrain 28-25 in the match held this morning, which was part of the fourth and final round of the preliminary stage of Group 2 at the 20th Asian Games, being held in Nagoya, Japan.

As a result, the Kuwaiti team concluded the preliminary stage with 4 points and advanced to the quarterfinals (Round of 8), where they will face the Japanese team today. Meanwhile, Bahrain topped the overall standings with 6 points and will face Hong Kong.

The Kuwaiti team lost to South Korea and Bahrain, while defeating Iran and Kazakhstan. The team is aiming to reach the semifinals, claim a spot on the podium, and secure a medal to add to Kuwait’s treasury of achievements.
