Sosa: We will face Iraq with strength and passion to secure a win

National team coach Helio Souza emphasized on Friday the importance of approaching the upcoming match against the Iraqi national team with strength and enthusiasm, working to improve performance, implementing tactical ideas as required, and elevating the team’s level in pursuit of victory.

In a press conference ahead of Saturday’s match against Iraq in the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), Souza stated that the game presents a significant challenge, noting that pressure is present in all matches, whether against strong opponents or otherwise. He explained that the national team continuously works to enhance its capabilities and improve its performance to achieve its desired objectives.

Souza highlighted the importance of fan support for the national team, expressing his happiness with the presence and backing of the crowd. He also noted that a large number of Iraqi fans are expected to attend to support their national team.

He clarified that the technical staff is focused on developing both physical and technical aspects, particularly given that the Iraqi squad includes several players who are professionals playing abroad. Souza affirmed that the challenges are substantial and that the “Blue” (Kuwait’s national team) will strive to deliver their best performance in the match.

For his part, Kuwaiti national team player Nasser Al-Falah confirmed during the press conference that the team is physically and mentally ready to face Iraq tomorrow. He pointed to the team’s preparation and efforts to perform as required to secure a win and earn three points. Al-Falah noted that the team delivered the expected performance in the previous match but failed to achieve the desired result, expressing hope that the team will provide a performance that pleases the Kuwaiti fans.

The national team resumed its training sessions yesterday in preparation for the match against Iraq as part of the tournament.
