Qatar condemns Houthi ballistic missile launches toward Taif and Yanbu: "Shameful aggressive behavior"

Qatar strongly condemned on Friday the Houthi group’s launch of ballistic missiles toward the Saudi cities of Taif and Yanbu, describing the attacks as an aggressive and reprehensible act, a reckless disregard for civilian lives, a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty, and a clear breach of international law.

In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Qatar’s categorical rejection of attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians, and underscored the need for an immediate cessation of such irresponsible actions.

The ministry also reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with its sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures taken by Riyadh to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests, stressing that Saudi security is an integral part of Qatar’s security and of the collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
