Envoy of His Highness Holds Discussions with CEO of GE Vernova on Developing Energy Projects and Enhancing Efficiency of Power Generation Plants

Representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, met with Scott Strazik, Chief Executive Officer of GE Vernova, the global energy company, and his accompanying delegation, at the Kuwait Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed existing cooperation between Kuwait and the global company, as well as ways to enhance the partnership in developing energy projects and improving the efficiency of power generation plants. It also discussed the latest developments at the GE Technology Center in Kuwait, which last year celebrated its tenth anniversary since its establishment, while emphasizing the importance of human capital development and investing in national talents through knowledge transfer and capacity building, thereby contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the achievement of Kuwait’s Vision objectives.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna; and Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
