"Oil" denies approval of new fuel prices and confirms pricing committee has not met

Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources denied the new prices for petroleum products circulating on social media platforms, confirming that they are false and do not reflect the prices currently applied in the local market.

In a statement, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources clarified that the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products has not yet met and has not issued any new decisions regarding prices, noting that the circulating figures are not based on any official decision.

The Ministry urged citizens not to fall for or share unverified information, emphasizing the need to rely solely on official data issued by the competent authorities.
