Interior Ministry: Enhancing communication and developing cooperation with Iraq

Lieutenant General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, received in his office Lieutenant General Dr. Saad Muhan, Head of the Security Media Cell of the Republic of Iraq, along with his accompanying delegation.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Al-Wahib welcomed Lieutenant General Dr. Saad Muhan and conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He affirmed the depth of the fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq, and emphasized the importance of strengthening frameworks of cooperation and joint coordination to serve the common interests of the two sister countries.

Lieutenant General Al-Wahib underscored the necessity of exchanging information, monitoring, analyzing, and directing security-related media statements to curb rumors, thereby ensuring cooperation between the two sides. He also highlighted the need to enhance security media communication channels, develop joint cooperation, transfer security expertise, and combat organized crime.

For his part, Lieutenant General Dr. Saad Muhan expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception, praising the depth of the fraternal ties linking the Republic of Iraq and the State of Kuwait. He affirmed the commitment to continue strengthening cooperation and coordination.

The reception was attended by Lieutenant General Majbal Al-Rashidi, Head of the Land Border Security and Coast Guard Sector; Colonel Khalid Al-Taraji, Director General of the Undersecretary’s Office; Colonel Nasser Al-Buslub, Director General of the Security Media and Public Relations Department; and a number of security officials from both sides.
