Jasim Al-Qams: "Medley" of Huda's songs from the 1980s

After a seven-year hiatus, the 1980s show returns in a new guise with a fresh directorial vision by director Jasim Al-Qams. The last performance of the 1980s show was held in 2019 at the Jaber Cultural Center, produced by Al-Jabriya Al-Hara and Sin. “Al-Anba” met with Al-Qams and asked him about the 1980s show. He said, “This is the fourth revival of the 1980s show, which is considered one of the most successful productions. We have performed it three times in Kuwait, and we also undertook a Gulf tour. We paused for approximately seven years, but we are now returning to present five performances to mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Jaber Cultural Center.”

He added, “Fifty percent of the show will be renewed within the general framework, but there will be new songs, and the stage set will be different. There is also a new segment featuring a medley of songs by star Huda Hussein, in addition to the talents of Hayat Al-Fahad, Suad Abdullah, and 1980s singers. The performances will take place on October 14 and 15, and on October 16 there will be two shows, one at 4:00 p.m. and the other at 8:30 p.m. In total, there are five performances, and the first two have already sold out, praise be to God. May God grant us success in the shows. I am the director, Ahmed Budham is the video director, and Fatima Al-Sayegh is in charge of costumes.”
