Kuwait Stock Exchange liquidity reaches 507.1 million dinars in a week
The Kuwait Stock Exchange maintained stability during the trading week that concluded on Thursday, successfully absorbing the selling pressures that emerged at the start of the week before regaining some balance as buying activity and position-building resumed in several stocks. This trend reflects the continued presence of liquidity and traders’ interest in opportunities available at current price levels.
Trading began the week under pressure affecting a select group of stocks, which impacted index movements and the market capitalization of listed companies. However, trading momentum gradually shifted as sessions progressed, supported by renewed buying activity and improved trading in a number of stocks, helping the market offset part of the initial pressures.
The week’s movements demonstrated the market’s ability to sustain high levels of activity, with liquidity exceeding half a billion dinars and approximately 1.8 billion shares traded, underscoring continued trading momentum despite divergent stock trends across sessions.
During the week, the Kuwait Stock Exchange recorded trading liquidity of 507.157 million dinars, distributed across approximately 1.797 billion shares through 127,833 transactions. The market capitalization of listed companies reached 52.924 billion dinars, while the general index closed at 8,837.01 points.

Weekly data revealed a notable closeness in liquidity between the First and Main Markets, with the First Market accounting for 259.7 million dinars compared to 247.448 million dinars in the Main Market—a difference of only 12.252 million dinars. Meanwhile, the Main Market clearly outperformed in terms of trading volume and number of transactions.
Thus, the Kuwait Stock Exchange concluded the week with a degree of resilience, as trading absorbed part of the initial pressures and gradually restored balance. Liquidity levels and position-building activity remain key drivers shaping market trends in the current phase.
