Education Ministry adopts unified standards for selecting trainers for the "Trainee Teacher" program

The Ministry of Education announced that the General Administration for Development and Training has approved unified standards for selecting accredited trainers to deliver training programs within the program, in accordance with a clear mechanism based on transparency and fairness in evaluating applicants, ensuring the selection of educational and training competencies based on specific, publicly announced professional criteria.

The Ministry emphasized that adopting unified standards and opening applications to eligible candidates stems from its commitment to entrenching the principle of equal opportunity among applicants and subjecting all applications to the same procedures and standards, moving away from direct selection, thereby making experience, competence, and professional merit the basis for evaluation and accreditation.

The Ministry of Education clarified that the General Administration for Development and Training has completed the necessary technical and organizational preparations to receive applications from those wishing to register via the Ministry of Education’s website through the “Dal” platform. The registration service will be open from yesterday until Tuesday, the 29th of the current month, with all applications subject to screening, verification, and validation of documents and compliance with the published requirements.

The Ministry detailed that the application criteria include the applicant being of Kuwaiti nationality, having at least 20 years of professional experience in the educational field, possessing at least 10 years of actual teaching experience, and having documented training experience in delivering no fewer than 20 training programs.

It added that the criteria require the applicant to have an actual “Excellent” rating in performance reports for the last two years, and to have a clean employment record free of disciplinary judgments or penalties over the past three years, unless such records have been expunged in accordance with civil service laws and regulations or annulled by a final judicial ruling. Additionally, applicants must submit a criminal record certificate stating “no criminal record” via the government’s unified electronic services platform, “Sahel.”
